Accountant/Bookkeeper - Permanent Part Time

$18 - $25 per hour plus year-end bonus

Description

Claremont Management Corporation is a public accounting firm located in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. We provide complete accounting, tax planning and tax preparation services to both individual and business clients.

We are looking for a permanent part-time skilled Bookkeeper/ Accountant to maintain financial records for clients. This position involves extensive client contact preparing sales tax returns, payroll tax returns, financial statements and special projects.

Responsibilities

  • Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct manner in the client’s ledgers
  • Bring the books to the trial balance stage
  • Enter data, maintain records and financial statements
  • File Sales tax returns
  • Calculate/Pay payroll tax liabilities and file quarterly payroll forms

Skills

  • Knowledge of QuickBooks
  • High level of skill in MS Office and computer proficiency
  • Ability to work independently and maintain productivity, accuracy and confidentiality
  • Strong client relationship skills
  • Problem solving ability
  • Detail oriented
  • Organizational skills
  • Self-motivated
  • BS degree in Accounting (Preferred)
